Calamity Kris Posted October 14, 2022 Posted October 14, 2022 I wanted to share some pictures from our trip to Maine for "Leaf Peeping". My photographic skills aren't nearly as good as most folks in this here Saloon, but I thought they were worth sharing anyway.
Gateway Kid SASS# 70038 Life Posted October 14, 2022 Posted October 14, 2022 Very nice! You have a good eye. Regards Gateway Kid
Blackwater 53393 Posted October 15, 2022 Posted October 15, 2022 Kris!! You and Schoolmarm would be fast friends! She’s crazy about lighthouses!!
Dirty Dan Dawkins Posted October 15, 2022 Posted October 15, 2022 Leaves are more vibrant than two weeks ago. Sure wish we had time to see the coast
Shotgun-Gibbs Posted October 15, 2022 Posted October 15, 2022 I have been fortunate to have visited Maine twice. It is gorgeous at Portland Head Light! Looks like a great trip!
Calamity Kris Posted October 15, 2022 Author Posted October 15, 2022 Thanks for the kind words. This was our first trip to Maine. We really enjoyed it. We're talking about a trip to Vermont next year to do the same thing. We have determined we've been working too much and not spending enough time relaxing. It's time we change that.
MizPete Posted October 15, 2022 Posted October 15, 2022 But we don't even know how to vacation. We go places to do things. Yes, we do try to see the local attractions when we're nearby. Most of that stuff penned to the Scoring Throne was obtained when we did tourist stuff near match sites.
Eyesa Horg Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 A friend of mines son is working with 5 other young men to bring back the Bridgton Saco narrow gauge railroad in Bridgton, Maine. Pretty cool. So far they have an engine, some track and some land at the old rail bed to build a museum and round house.
MizPete Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 One day we'll have to go to New England. In the meantime, NC has several cool lighthouses.
