Waco Jim
Just aquired a jug of Clay Dot and I'm wondering what load I should use for 12Ga 7/8 oz shot. Not much info on the Alliant website.
Nutmeg Ryder, SASS # 74966
I use 14 grains of Clay Dot, with the grey Claybuster wad, and 3/4 oz shot. (used the same powder charge with 7/8ths as well) Works for what we need.

Still hand Bill
Substitute it for clays powder by weight. I think I was 17.5 g of clays, clay dot, red dot or promo under 7/8 oz. Rem or win hull, rem or win primer, waa12l wad or equivalent. It’s a book load at 1250 fps. Have shot 10k+ for sporting clays.
Oklahoma Dee
11+ grains will do nicely. No need to kill the targets, jus knock em over.
Anvil Al #59168
We use a MEC #23 bushing. Throws around 13.3 grains, 1oz of shot. Wife likes that load also. BUT. I have ordered a #22 bushing. I know that will still more than do the job. And be a little easier for the wife.
Tom Bullweed
Lee 1.9 cc dipper throws 13.1 grains of Clays. 3/4 ounce of shot in a Win AA or Remington green/gold hull makes a decent load.
Randy Saint Eagle, SASS # 64903
I don't know the weight but it is but I use Clay Dot, in a MEC 650 with a 27 bushing 7/8oz. shot and a grey Claybuster wad, works great. Randy
