Celtic Cowboy, SASS 111421
I used a single trigger Stoeger Uplander before I made the switch to the 97's that I use now. I would also occasionally have that issue. In my case I finally traced the issue to some occasional lapses in trigger control on my part. By that I mean that if there was any pressure at all on the trigger (didn't have to be a pull could just be side loading it) during the opening or closing of the gun then only one hammer would reset. Remove all ammo from your work space and then try opening and closing the shotgun with a load on the trigger and see if that enables you to reliably cause the issue where you only get one click. Then make sure your finger is no-where near the trigger and open and close it and then pull the trigger and you should get 2 clicks instead of one. To be clear I did not switch from the stoeger to the 97 because off this issue, just because as a 3-gun shooter i found the 97 was just a more natural fit for me. Regards, C.C.
