Recommended Posts

I’m looking to buy a Stevens 311-A safety switch. Mine broke a while back and I haven’t been able to locate one. I have tried several from eBay that I hoped would work but none of them have.

Tried Numrich, eBay and other places that I know of.  No one has any.

if you know of another that would for sure work please let me know. I’m get tired tired of buying and them not working.

thanks.

Have you tried Jack First or Ahlmans Gunshop

No I haven’t heard of them. I’ll look them up. Thanks.

Not completely sure if Jack is spelled First or Furst. I believe they are in South Dakota. Ahlmans gun shop is in Morristown, Minnesota. Coyote Cap's Dad started the shop. His brother Larry took it over...and now Larry's son Mike is in charge.

I may have one. What makes the 311A different?

I’m not exactly sure. I have bought several but they have all been too thick to fit in the slot. They seem to look the same but there must be differences in the thickness. I could measure the slot if you have one.

The slot is .192” wide. (First pic)

the safeties I have been getting from eBay have been larger like .214 (second pic)

Mine is from a 311E and measures .182.

I'll priority mail it to you for $15. $11 for the postage and $4 for a burger.

Thanks. I guess any of the 311 series safeties will fit? Maybe I have just been getting ones that aren't actually from a 311

Yes , works with Stevens 530a, 530, 5100, 311e series h, 311 f series, 311 d series, f, 311 d  and series h

Thanks. I have purchased a few from ebay that claimed to be from a 311 but none of them worked for various reasons. Mostly being to thick to pass through the cutout.

Hope you found one. I have searched all my spare parts trays and haven't turned up a 311 safety. If I find it I'll let you know..

Thank you. I got the one above from Johnny Meadows. Planning on seeing if it fits today when I get off work. Thank you for searching and trying to help.
