Abilene Slim SASS 81783
A lengthy article that doesn’t really say much other there’s an amphib version of the C-130 in the works. Not that I expect any detail on that kind of project. I wonder why the Space Force is in charge? Historically, that was the purview of USN. I remember seeing Martin Marlins at MCAF Iwakuni back in 1960.
Forty Rod SASS 3935
No matter what they build it will never have the class of the original Clippers.
Trailrider #896
More like the Martin Mars flying boats maybe? The concept would be a real help to a flyer who had to ditch in the Pacific. Sort of the "Dumbo" aircraft used in WWII.
Abilene Slim SASS 81783
The Mars would dwarf a C130. Only seven were built. I believe this red and white one is for sale. It was last used as a water bomber.
