DocWard Posted September 15, 2022 Share Posted September 15, 2022 Under the watchful eye of my instructor of many years, I put my daughter through her paces for her yellow belt test in Kenpo. She is technically my first student.. Afterward, Dan, my instructor, went to his office and put down some notes. Critiquing both me and my daughter. I told my daughter I felt somewhat like Obi-Wan Kenobi training Luke Skywalker (couldn't be Anakin, sorry) under the critical eye of a very tall Yoda. At any rate, he gave me a list (a short one) of things I needed to improve upon. Then the two of us discussed what mistakes he saw her make, things she could improve on, and the like. At the end, though, he determined that her hard work and performance merited promotion.
