Have you ever noticed the strips of pointy wires to keep birds off of pipes and such? They don't work:

I wonder why he did not wonder?

Did the pigs come when he called them, like calling dogs to eat?

Or was that yell telling somebody to open the gate so the pigs could come. They weren't responding to his yell but we're responding to the smell and they know what time supper is.

I could not resist verifying this. Both the claim and the chemical formula. Both are correct. I may add some sodium citrate to my kitchen spice cabinet (added to Amazon cart). It even has the shorthand name "Nacho" or "NaCHO." Sodium citrate binds to both water and fat creating an emulsion. It might be a solution to getting a better sauce in oven stew and chili. It is a salt, so will need to be careful of any off flavors such as bitterness.

there was this really poor guy, and even though he worked hard all day, all he could afford to eat for his lunch was a crust of bread.

One day, he discovered that if he ate his meagre lunch next to the sausage seller's stall, it tasted better. Day after day, he would eat his lunch there, sniffing deep before taking a bite of his crust of bread

After a few weeks the sausage seller became angry: this damned poor guy was getting savoury value from his sausages, and paying him nothing! So he called the bailiff and had the poor guy arrested for theft.

When the case came before the judge he listened with interest, nodding as the sausage seller recounted his grievance. "Yes, I understand, and justice demands restitution!," said the judge, and demanded the poor guy hand over his coin purse.

Then the judge held the pouch high, intoning, "The price must be paid!" and shook it vigorously, so that the few coins inside jingled, right in front of the face of the smiling sausage seller, and then handed it back to the poor guy.

"What's this? Call this justice?" protested the sausage seller, and the judge said "Yes indeed, like for like - for the smell of the sausage, the sound of the money

My ex-gf got bitten by a Brazilian Wandering Spider. I am surprised that the spider survived.

Should I have posted that in the "dad jokes", instead of the "Friday humor"?

Why? It's almost Friday.

Except in Australia,  where it is Friday.

A panda walked into a bar….

.... goes to the bar and orders a pint from the slightly stunned barman.

"That'll be £7 please" says the barman, which the panda duly pays.

Once the panda has finished his drink he orders another. Again "that'll be £7 please", which the panda pays.

Another drink down the panda orders another. While pouring the pint the barman says,

"You know, we don't get many pandas in here" to which the panda replies

"I'm not surprised with these prices"

It was pouring something wicked and there standing in front of a big puddle outside the pub, was an old Irishman, drenched, holding a stick, with a piece of string dangling in the water.

A gentleman passing by stopped and asked, "What are you doing?"

"Fishing," replied the old man.

Feeling sorry for the geezer, the gent says, "Come in out of the rain and have a drink with me."

As they sit in the warmth of the pub, sipping their whiskeys, the gentleman cannot resist asking, "So how many have you caught today?"

"You're the eighth," says the old man.

The President of Iran calls Trump & tells him "I had a dream last night...."

"New York was in ruins & aflame, with Iranian flags flying above."

Trump replies: "Funny, I had a dream last night too. Teheran beautiful and prosperous, happy people celebrating in the streets, with big banners hanging everywhere."

"What did the banners say?", asked the Iranian President.

"I don't know," Trump answers, "I can't read Hebrew."
