in a shoe shop, in York, England. I was expecting the usual long and boring wait as my wife looked at every pair possible (before mobile phones, so I couldn’t keep myself busy) Customers walked between two rows of shoes, which had wall mounted a mirrors, at the end of, and between each row - so the customers could look at themselves in their possible purchases. A man next to me said, to his wife, “if you don’t like any of these they have more in the next room” I said, “It does look like another room but, they are mirrors” He said “don’t talk to me like I am a fool” and promptly walked into one of the mirrors.
