One guy got the information about the competition by word of mouth and heard it as sweetbreads. He made a lovely dish of sweetbreads stuffed with a savory boiled wheat and mushroom stuffing. 

 

He didn't get to enter the competition,  and those of us camped next to him had a wonderful supper.

Sometimes I wonder about foreign names but just dismiss the thought, former neighbor Olawaigiuox for example.

 

so I have a Filipino caregiver, Maricris. I see from her car that she most likely has a December birthday. So I asked her what day in December. 25,  aha, Merry Christmas!
