Virginia State Championship!

The Cavalier Cowboys hosted, for the first time, the "Gunfight at the Double-C," the Virginia State Cowboy Action Championship, at a centrally located range just outside Richmond, Virginia.

The Cavalier Rifle and Pistol Club is a rural 525 acre site with over a dozen shooting ranges, a lake, a campground, and an active shooting community that hosts nearly 200 shooting events annually, covering many popular shooting disciplines.  The Cavalier Cowboys is the resident CAS Club. (Cavaliercowboys.org).

Over 80 competitors from all over the East Coast and as far away as Indiana, New York and Georgia participated.   The weather was fabulous.

Congratulations to Christian Mortician as Top Overall shooter, to Jack Sazerac as the men's Virginia State Champ, and to Happy Valley Harlot as both the Top Overall lady and Virginia State Ladies Champ.

As we are proud to say, "We're big and close, and on the East Coast!"

What? You missed it?  Maybe you can join us next year?   Mark your calendars for Labor Day Weekend 2023.

Thank you to everyone that came out to shoot our first ever SASS state championship match.  The Cavalier Cowboys really enjoyed hosting the match and having each of you as our guests.  I got to meet many new people and regret not having the time to greet and talk with each and everyone one of the competitors.  I was pretty busy , but have it on my list to stop and take the time to mingle more next year.

If you took photos during the match, I sure would like a copy to post on our website.   Feel free to email what you have to bingo.montana@gmail.com

Also, if you have any feedback for us, would you love to have it, send it to me!

Thank you to everyone who help tear down the stages yesterday, I know that was a lot to do after shooting those last 4 stages and in the afternoon heat.  Thank you again.

See you next year.

Here are a few pictures that Mrs. Bingo took on Sunday.

It was a GREAT match! For the first time hosting y’all were like old pros!  Well done!! It was HOT, yes…however, I don’t think there was an extra fan in all of the county because they were on the range! It was great. Stages were fun, food was good and the folks were awesome!!

see y’all next year!!

Hugs!!

Potshot Parker, wherever you are, EXCELLENT SHOOTING!!!!

Do you offer duelist classes????? Those times are IMPRESSIVE!!! I've never shot a sub 20 second stage and only a handful of sub 30 second stages!!!

BS, Ripsaw and Bingo, appreciate all the work you all put in for this match.  It was a lot of fun and look forward to shooting again next year.  Hopefully I can make side match day.  Also for everyone that helped out for the match, thank you all too.
