Brock Posted September 30 Posted September 30 I've got a hankering fer a porkpie this fall season, basically it's ground pork (2/3), ground beef {1/3}, and mashed potatoes. in a double crust with some seasonings. I'm liking Gordon Ramsey's recipe https://cheframsayrecipes.com/gordon-ramsay-pork-pie-recipe/ but I think it's more like a fine diced potato than mashed or maybe a coarse, rough mash, not a puree. 2 Quote

Share! A red pepper and eggplant dip/spread from the Balkans One version. Some people make it with some hot peppers in the mix, some with lots of garlic. Edited October 1 by Subdeacon Joe 1 Quote

Brock Posted Friday at 12:05 PM Posted Friday at 12:05 PM Quote The "garbage plate" is a term trademarked by Nick Tahou Hots, the restaurant where this famous upstate New York dish was invented. Each plate consists of meat — typically a burger or sliced hot dog — atop a combination of home fries, french fries, macaroni salad, and baked beans. Mustard, ketchup, onions, and a meaty Rochester "hot sauce" are often added to complete the sloppy delicacy. 1 Quote

Brock Posted Tuesday at 12:47 PM Posted Tuesday at 12:47 PM I made a pie. The rings that I used to protect the edges left me with a problem, my oven mitts touched the crust and broke it. I figured that I needed wings on the rings. Scissors solved the ‘blem. Will have to try the modified ring soon. 1 1 Quote
