Help me understand this

In this country we have Homeless people and families, living on the streets and tent cities.  We have Homeless Veterans living on the streets and begging for handouts.

Then we have Illegals, (for some reasons we refer to them as "migrants" yet still law breakers on how they entered this country), that are welcomed with open arms, provided with cell phones, food and clothing and many put up in ritzy hotels as their shelters. Given clothing and free health care and their children with free education.

What's wrong with this picture?  Would any other country in the World give us the same consideration and handouts if we entered illegally, or would our food, clothing, and health care be provided as well as shelter in a jail or prison cell for entering illegally?

And generally a very political answer.

Yes some other countries are doing this , but not the smart ones . And yes it makes no sense , but in my opinion it’s done on purpose to disrupt society and serve the interests of countries that are against personal freedoms and liberty “ CCP , Russia, etc” . To me it’s just too much power residing in the federal government. Most politics should be local , the more it’s kept local the more the interests of the common citizens will be represented , we do need the federal government for things like the national defense , trade with other countries, ect . But what we don’t need is them taxing us so they can redistribute the money to control the states . When it should be the states controlling the federal government. I honestly think we should go back to where the senators were appointed by the state legislatures. It makes them more accountable to the entire state instead of just the large population centers , who get the majority of the kickbacks from the feds to buy votes . To me the representative republic model works far better than a democracy which we have been steadily creeping towards .

Simple, it’s a long game takeover of the USA by Commie influenced people. Useful Idiots being manipulated by greed and power.

People think I am crazy, and that’s okay, but I have been saying this for years and unfortunately, I think I have been right all along.

You take a bunch of uneducated poor people and throw them some care and a little money and you have yourself a staunch generational voting block in the making.

Well you even see it here , comment was made by someone that " Take all that Fentanyl contraband and offer it to homeless folks.  " over 40 percent of homeless men are Vets . Many of them have been so disgruntled about the America they came home too that well they dont want to be a part of society .
We label them PTSD and we need to stop calling it a disorder its not it normal human reaction to a situation
I have said for a for a long time Vets and especially Combat Vets are disposable Heros you only need us because we do a job you arent willing to do . My 8 years in Combat was well pretty much a complete waste of time .
Social media has made people way to comfortable with putting a flag or border on their  profile pic to support the current thing as helping .

The border LOL well send my old team up there with a few deuces and 240 bravos and we will amke your wall with stacked bodies until there are real consequences with braking border laws it wont change

No.

It wasn't.

Your time and sacrifices mattered - its just not "cool" to acknowledge it in the town square depending on what flavor of poly ticks is preferred in your area.

Your years are appreciated by the people that matter.

The same thing applies to the disparity between homeless Americans and illegal aliens.  the people that use poly ticks for profit don't give a popcorn fart about either group unless it can be used as a campaign sound byte.

People that matter - care about BOTH groups - not becuase they are groups but because they are people.

If ANYBODY thinks that a band of poly tishans taking a knee and faking a tear for a photo op equates to compassion for illegal aliens simply isn't following the plot.

The instant that names like Gallup, Rasmussen, Zogby, or Quinnipiac start showing up with numbers suggesting that homeless vets, bums, retired poker players, cowboy shooters that take 50 seconds on a stand-and-deliver stage, or people from Jersey are now more important to voters than illegal aliens, you can bet those politicians will shift gears faster than the Rubber Duck trying to cross a bridge into Mexico.

Here in CA, we have more than half of the entire country's homeless population.
My son ran a homeless-to-housing in Socal, until he got run out by the black grifters who were taking the public money, but producing no results.
He called 'em on it at a city council meeting, and they played their race card and he decided enough was enough.

He is writing a book that goes through all the things he has seen and learned.
Several of us are the first-stage proof and review.

I just received the PDF, and my wife will be getting a printed copy in the next day or so.

One of his observations:  only 1 in 4 actually wants off the streets.
The other 3 out of 4 want to do drugs, rob or panhandle, defecate on the streets and live under bridges without any rules.
CA encourages this behavior, and why we have 50% or more of the nation's homeless population.

Illegally enter pretty much any other country and see where you end up. It doesn’t make sense unless you want more and more people on government subsidies. This would end up being a Socialist society.

BS

About the most pc thing I can say on this is that for several years now I've been referring to the ILLEGALS as Undocumented Democrats. Some, not all but a very vocal some, on the left absolutely despise everything about this country that reduces their grasp on power. Freedoms are only worth while if they can be used to benefit them and oppress others. The only free speech allowed is what they label as free. Pandering, the buying of votes/loyalty through rampant spending, loan forgiveness and supporting illegals over American Citizens is nothing more than a power grab. How they grab that power is a case of anything is legal if they're doing it, illegal only if an opposing view does it.

Sorry, rant off.

Pacific Grove, CA is on the Monterey peninsula.
This is where the Monarch butterflies winter every year.
It is also right up the road from the Pebble Beach golf course and 17-mile Drive.

Funny thing, Pacific Grove:  no bums.
No bum sign, no bums, no defecation on the sidewalks, no car jackings,...
Then again, houses sell for $21 million here... so I'm not surprised.
NIMBY.

We had hoped to retire to the family beach house in San Diego, but that is not to be.
Our once beautiful beach community is now a cesspool of bums, trash, crime, congestion and endless sirens and emergencies.

CA voters have forced me as 3rd generation owner, to divest the property on my death when I lose our Prop 13 property tax protection.
The staggering tax increase will put the house beyond our ability to keep it.
Democrat voters have indeed destroyed America.

@bgavin

I am not from Cali so not familiar with the prop 13

Can you put the house in trust with current ownership listed as trustees, the add your heirs At a later date as trustees so when you pass the house is still a trust and there are still trustees?

A LOT of very rich  people don't 'own anything on paper

T.J.
No, the voters have mostly removed the inherited Prop 13 protections.
I am the 3rd generation owner of the family beach house in San Diego.
We had planned to retire there, but San Diego has become SUCH a cesspool, even at the beach, that we gave up that idea.

The voters stripped Prop 13 so the protection can only be passed in a particular circumstance:
The grantor must live in the house as their primary residence.
The recipient must take over the house, then live there as their primary residence.

Otherwise, the property taxes jump up to about $16,600 yearly.
When I took possession after Mom passed, the trust attorney failed to do his job with the correct filing, and I was slammed with this huge tax increase.
San Diego sent me a bill for $24,000 payable in 60 days or lose the house.
Then they sent me another tax bill for an additional $16,600 for the new year.

I had to write that check to avoid losing the house.
My attorney said this is common practice in San Diego, and how they force sales to establish the property tax rate at 1.1% of the new selling price, forever.
It took two full years of fight to get my money returned.  (interest free).
The good news:  it was not returned as a 1099 tax refund, or I would have been forced to pay income taxes on my own money.

To answer your question, Don...Yes, Canada does exactly the same thing.  As a matter of fact, the RCMP have been videoed helping illegal immigrants coming across the U.S./Canada border with their luggage.  They are not being turned back or arrested.  Back in 2016 our prime minister invited the world to come to Canada.  As a result, they come to the U.S. as visitors and then head straight to the Canadian border and crossing "between" authorized points of entry.  They are then housed in Hotels, given a welfare check and ONE HUNDRED PERCENT free medical and dental coverage.  Yes, we have our own citizens that are homeless, including veterans that are homeless, but, according to our prime minister, they obviously do not count.  Why, because they do not vote.  Immigrants usually vote for the government party that let them in the country.  Sad, but true.
