Decide to each pick a "champion" to be dropped on the island and fight it out. The American is fitted out with all sorts of gollywog guns and gear, other guy has, I think, an AK or PPSh. Both have food, Both have minimal first aid kits, water, water purification tablets, water test kits, various other gear. They each stalk each other, set traps (one is as simple as razor blades in the bark of a tree that it is obvious to climb and so the wounds get infected), poison the water sources. Oh! And each has a transmitter to activate if they win. Naturally the American wins and just throws the transmitter away. I thought the Vic Morrow played the American, but it isn't in his filmography. It's been at least 45 years since I've seen it, so the above is likely a bit garbled, but does it sound familiar to anyone? And, no, it's not "Hell in the Pacific."
