This model has the more modern M16a2 flat top picatinny rail upper with a detachable carry handle rather than the one piece M16a1 carry handle upper. I am a retired US Army 18A, Special Forces Officer and former Detachment Commander. I built this gun and you can bet your life on it. You can see this rifle flawlessly feed a variety of 5.56 ammunition mixed together, from steel case Russian to A-tac match, in this video The rifle has the correct collapsible butt stock..
