Buckshot Bear
Youngest son bought me this at an auction on the weekend, its Australian army WWII (or earlier) vintage.....bloody heavy and as tall as a shipping container! Now to work out where to put it in my shed.

A few years ago I tried to restore an old hardware screw, bolt, nut, etc piece kind of like that and when I got into it I discovered a lot of beetle damage and the customer decided against it. The beetles were still active in it.

Rip Snorter
Nice! Easy fix for the missing and damaged drawers would be to cannibalize the bottom row (if all the same dimensions) and fit a kick plate to the bottom row.

That's a good idea as my back won't ever like using those bottom draws that's for sure.

Capt. R. Hugh Kidnme
That's a sweet piece of furniture. I surely could use something like that.

Too bad he's so far away. Otherwise, a little midnight requisitioning might by in order. You know: Just to relieve him of the trouble of fixing it up of having to bend too low for those lower drawers!! Just thinking about you health Buckshot!! Yellowhouse Sam # 25171
If you're remotely concerned about insect damage just spray the whole thing with permethrin...inside and out.
