Dusty Morningwood
SOLD If you are tired of cut down little belly guns, then this is for you. In South Philly they would say "Yo. I got your hogleg hangin' here." And this IS quite a hogleg. It started life as a replica New Model Navy (.36 cal.), not sure by whom. Some clever gunsmith got ahold of it and stretched it! Both the frame and cylinder were lengthened. Cylinder is 3" long! Affixed to this was a round smoothbore barrel 11.75" long. The gun is really clean. Obviously had been shot, but cared for. The action works and times as it should, but the bolt needs to be a little taller or a stronger spring installed to lock cylinder in sync with barrel (a little side to side play). This seems an easy fix for you folks who like messing with the internals on these things. Being an oddity and a piece that will earn you envious side glances at the range, I am asking $400 SHIPPED Comes with a dandy custom holster. Abilene, SASS # 27489
Wow, that is really wild! Is a smoothbore pistol legal? edit: on second thought, since it is percussion I guess it's not a gun.

Crazy Gun Barney, SASS #2428
With the smoothbore and the length of the cylinder, almost seems more Like a revolving shotgun pistol. Very cool. Probably made by a guy with a serious snake phobia.

F. Greysmoke ,#12093
LOL, I love all of the comments. My 2 cents worth; years ago I bougth a 1st gen 1860 at the right price, got it and someone had bored outed the barrel to make it smooth bore. Oh no, I thought, but I shot it and it would shot 1.1/2 groups all day long at 20 yards, so, go figure??
