I found 10, assuming the boy with the glasses is supposed to be Chinese. And counting the lamp on the desk as two, since it is both plugged in and is a candle.

I found ten counting the lamp as one and didn't count the boy. Hard on the phone due to size,yes size matters.

The boy being Chinese is not one of them, but the candle lamp plugged in is one.

Could easily overthink this.

 

Both boys are wearing sweaters. One girl is wearing a sweater. The father still has his jacket on. The electric fire is going in the fireplace. And they're having tea which means it's 4:30 in the afternoon. It's cold. While Mama and the one girl are wearing short sleeves. Hmm.

 

Never had pet birds, so this is just my opinion. But I would not have the birdcage behind the couch. You lean back you hit the cage, it disturbs the bird. Or in this case, the cat.

 

One of the mistakes might be the baby playing on the couch with nobody paying attention to it, but based on the way everyone is dressed I'm going to say this is back in the 50s, and that would be normal.

 

If that's just heat rising off the electric fire, that's fine. If that's smoke and/or flame, well that would be a mistake.

Underneath the couch cushion there appears to be about 2 inches of space, then there is a crossbar - part of the frame of the couch. If you start at the end of the couch and follow the space, the space goes underneath the baby's foot, then the space goes underneath the father's left leg, then the space goes over the father's right leg.

As for the picture over the mantlpiece - that looks like a mirror to me. If it was a picture, it should have a frame.

Pat, what's wrong with the teacup at the left corner of the table? And what is the problem with the heater sitting in the fireplace? That's been mentioned several times. That is a very common place to put it.

Moving from top right to left, top to bottom:
1. Picture on wall is hung upside-down;
2. There is a cat in the bird cage  not a bird;
3. The mirror hanging over the fireplace is missing the other side of the wire over the nail;
4. The candle lamp is plugged into an electric outlet;
5. The electric heater in the fireplace is showing flames;
6. The man on the couch is reading his newspaper upside down;
7. The leg of the sofa table is missing;
8. The handle to the teapot the woman is holding is missing;
9. The lenses on the boys eyeglasses are two different shapes;
10. The tea pot is pouring out on the table;
11. The slice of bread from the loaf is not the same shape;
12. The little girl is stirring her drink with a knife and not a spoon.

That dark space underneath the couch cushion goes under the baby's foot, and under the man's left leg, and then goes atop his right leg.
