Shane Not Sean
Looking for a Winchester 97 (butt) stock. Doesn't need to be pretty. Gonna shorten it to try and get a more user-friendly LOP.
Sarge
If you can't find an original, Boyd's re-pops them. I think about $85. Not exact, but pretty close.

Oh well ! 3 inches is a bunch. The formula I found helpful was that a 1/4" decrease in the LOP will move your nose 1" closer to your thumb when shooting. I agree, but I got the initial measurent of a gun another Lady shooter loaned Ellie to try. It measured 11 inches. Ellie's stock was 14 1/2. I cut twice to get to 11 1/2 with an added back on 5/8 I think recoil pad. Her nose is still almost 2" from her thumb. Unfortunately she hasn't tried it yet as she broke her collar bone in 4 places.
