Dusty Morningwood
SPF This is a fine example of an early production Husqvarna rolling block sporting rifle. Husqvarna had been producing the M67 military rolling blocks for the Swedish military under license from Remington since 1867. When Remington went bankrupt in 1886, its patents expired. Grasping this opportunity, Husqvarna embarked on what would be almost 50 years of producing rolling block sporting arms for the civilian market. As their designers began working on new designs and retooling, the company decided to utilize existing M67 parts to get into the game. This was likely the first new model, utilizing the M67 action. It IS NOT a cut down M67. It has a new centerfire breechblock with sleeker thumbpiece. The 27" barrel is half octagonal/half round with three leaf rear sight and blade front. The bore is very good. Buttstock is of the military style and forestock is wedged with schnabel tip, both checkered and in very good condition. The rifle is chambered in 12.7x44R, a popular CF round based on the RF M67 12.17x42R. Cases formed from 348 Win. and .50 Alaskan available from several sources or are easily fabricated. A fine example of a hard to find rifle for the collector or shooter of Scandinavian rolling blocks. $800 + Shipping.

You can rent a reamer from 4D for less than $50. get some cutting oil and use a standard socket driver. Takes less than half an hour. I have done several rollers and probably a dozen SxS and I ain't a gunsmith by any stretch of the imagination.
