Alpo
Little handheld tool. Plugs into the wall. Got a point on it. Buzzes. Use it to scratch your name onto your hand tools. I always called that a Vibratool. When I ask for one of them, Amazon offers vibrating massaging devices. I tried electric pencil. Amazon offered electric pencil sharpeners. I tried vibra etch. Got both the vibrating massaging devices and kits to etch glass. What the heck is this thing called?

Rip Snorter
These can be a little like Dremels and run away with you, some practice is required beyond casual marking.

I can't see getting that mixed up unless you were actually looking into engraving 5 inch high letters. The size of the tips are hard to get mixed up. Not a good idea. They always quit on ya, right in the middle of the work.
