NOT FS NON-SASS 1903-A3 Sporterized 30-06

Recommended Posts

Here’s a rifle that’s a great shooter and is excess to my current needs (and space in the safe.) Springfield 1903-A3 made by Smith-Corona and still wearing the original 1942 barrel.  The stock was sporterized by the previous owner and then I added a scope by tapping/drilling the receiver and changing the bolt.  I haven’t shot it in a couple years and have since moved the scope and bent bolt to another rifle.  It has an original trigger which was smithed and  is just under 3lbs.  I usually shot my cast 200 grain Lyman GC’d bullets with five-round groups,53F8FA03-0E8B-4067-B67C-9F5F492750DA.jpeg.0d5da667f3d1afab270b6ed1a7aff131.jpeg which @ 100 yards were just over an inch, center to center.  See the last photo from 2016.

$475 plus shipping. Or face to face in central Florida.

Trades considered.  Please send me a PM.

Thanks for looking,

That is a nice rifle, my heart just fluttered a little! Too bad someone chopped it like that I have a Krag done the same way.

About all I can see, there’s one hole drilled and tapped in the forward receiver.

New stock, mount scope, and scope, I would make it in to non-original A4 Sniper rifle.
