Marlin Glenfield Model 60

Recommended Posts

I inherited three [3] rifles from my late father-in-law and forgot I even had them until Ann was cleaning out the closet. [This was about 4 years ago]
I have no real use for them and would like to sell them. Interested in knowing if any of them have any real value worth listing them for sale.
The second one is a Marlin Glenfield Model 60 .22cal.
Pictures are below and if any additional information is needed to determine a price, just let me know.
Thanks in advance for your input.

To my limited knowledge, that Glenfield is the 'off brand' of the Marlin model 60........ a nice .22 rifle and fun to shoot.

My guess of value would be around $120.

Sometimes, Walmart will have a sale on the Marlin 60 for under $150. here in the South.

Yep. Pretty much identical except in branding and some Glenfields have “fancy” plastic stocks.

Kit, I was going to say about $150-$200. After cleaning it up, of course. If the bore is sound and the receiver parts aren’t too worn $200. But in today’s crazy market you might get more.

I bought mine brand new at Walmart for $60 in the late 80s - early 90s.  Still in the safe in pristine condition.  I'm hoping one of my grandnephews or grandnieces might make use of it.

I paid $200 for mine , used a couple years ago. It has the fancy stock, great shape!

X2.  $200-250 is the current cost to get a clean used 60 in hand.  Bids on GB can go higher.  Try to find a new Marlin 22 anything in the last year.  Prices will be high until/unless Ruger starts making the 60.

That particular example is sought after by some because of the full length barrel, full length magazine tube, wood stock.  The downside is newer examples of the 60 have the last shot hold open.

I was given that model 22 as a confirmation gift when I was in 5th grade.  Still have and shoot it once every couple of years. Brings back fond childhood memories.  What is it worth, pretty much priceless.  YMMV
