Blackwater 53393
SO!! I’m still sitting on my backside, doing less than nothing, mostly!! Just under a week ‘til I get these bandages off and find out if the last graft did the trick! In the meantime, I had a visit with my diabetes specialist. She’s concerned that my healing difficulties may be the result of something else! So over the last few days, I’ve had to pee in a cup, take a specialized steroid dose, and have ten or twelve vials of blood drawn. What we’re testing for could be what’s causing the foot not to heal, the diabetes symptoms, and the serious dry skin problems with my hands, as well as my (recently) much shorter, much more nasty temper! It’s something that can be treated with surgery and or medication and radiation treatment! The surgery is neurological and is performed damn near the brain. (How they think they can find a brain in there is a mystery to most!) So now I’m sitting here waiting on the foot to heal AND waiting on results of these tests!! And Schoolmarm and Hatfield wonder why the hell I’m so GRUMPY!! Edited August 26, 2022 by Blackwater 53393

NOPE! Solid bone through and through!! My dad once hit me, (accidentally) in the head with a 16lb sledgehammer! It was a glancing blow, but half a dozen people saw it happen! Split the skin on my forehead, but otherwise, no real damage. Didn’t even black my eyes! In the third grade, a kid who soon became a best friend, hit me in the head with his best sucker punch, just over my left eye! He then went to squalling and begging me not to hit him. He was crying and flopping on the ground. Turns out he broke several bones in his hand and wrist! (It WAS a really good punch!) He told anyone who’d listen that I had the hardest head in the world!! My dad always agreed with him!! Edited August 26, 2022 by Blackwater 53393

Dapper Dynamite Dick
Grump, Grump, Grump, it looks like cross border competitions for Canadians are going to be a thing of the past, with the new CBSA Rules as of 19 August. From a Canadian site; Taking a handgun to and back to Canada This post is for those that travel to the USA for pistol competitions, I have confirmed from GAC that we will not need an export permit unless the firearm is prohibited. As for importation, you WILL need an import permit. This permit will be $10-$30 depending on the value of the firearm, per visit at the point of entry back into Canada, even my contact said it was a cash grab. The permit will be valid for a period of 29 days. Following is the information I received; As per our discussion yesterday over the phone, the following is what is required to temporarily export and return your firearms to and from the US: 1) As the firearms you are exporting are restricted and the destination is the US, you are able to utilize General Export Permit #47 ( GEP 47). You do not have to apply for this permit, you simply write down “GEP 47” in your export declaration document under “permit number”. 2) Ensure that you have all appropriate US import permits/documents 3) Approximately 10 business days prior to the temporary export, apply for an import permit for the return of your firearms by completing form #1466 (attached). Please note: a. In section 17, you must enter the 4 digit code of the border crossing you will be returning to Canada from. A listing can be found here: https://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/.../serv...autof-eng.html (if the website shows only 3 digits, simply add a “0” at the beginning of the number. b. Section 19 &20 is going to be your return date or estimated return date – the permit is valid for 29 days of your stated shipment date. c. Section 21 – I would highly suggest selecting email as the distribution method as that is the quickest d. Section 23 &24, see attached commodity code list and descriptions. Select one per line item/description (i.e. if you have multiple revolvers, you only need one line item with a higher quantity and total value). e. Section 29 & 30 are not required for firearm import permit application – leave blank. f. Section 31 is your US issued ATF permit number. g. Section 36-41 , you will be the “supplier” as they are your personal firearms. 4) You will also have to provide a copy of your Firearms Licence (PAL), front and back, and a copy of your firearm registration. You may send these as attachments with your application via email to the EXCOL Helpdesk (excol-ceed.tia@international.gc.ca). 5) As Import Permits are currently processed via the NEICS system and you are not a recognized Canadian Broker, a processing fee is charged for the permit after issuance. If you have not already completed one in the past, please fill out and send the completed form to cashiersoffice@international.gc.ca - The fees are based on the value of the import: https://www.international.gc.ca/.../imp_fees-droits-imp... If usually only take 24-48 hours to process an import permit application provided all supporting documents are present.

Cold Lake Kid, SASS # 51474
Well, I hope you're feeling better soon Rev. Big Red and I had it, but it was more like a mild case of the sniffles for a day or so. Coming soon to Canada with our current Com Liberal government is legislation to cease the legal transfer of handguns to new legal owners. Those who own handguns after the selected date will be allowed to keep them for their life, but the handguns will then revert to the state and be destroyed. Drug gangs, thieves and other criminals are of course exempt in practical terms. Now ask me how GRUMPY I am.
Rev Willy Dunkum, SASS # 61027
CLK that should cause an uprising against said authorities in question. Something about a quote in Tombstone about Hell's coming with me, and a quote from Charlton Heston prying it from my cold dead fingers, and another by our own Patrick Henry, give me liberty or give me death. Grumps is growing and the unofficial GOFWG lists are growing... Lest this get too political, I am of course referring to hypothetical situations...,nothing to see behind the curtain, pay no attention to the red theatre lights and riechstag language. Four handguns will bring in $20 to $25,000 on the BM. Put the cash in the safety deposit box. By the time the government finds out, the guy will be dead and buried and the money will become part of his estate, which will have been distributed to his next of kin months if not years before the government finds out. Who are they going to charge? The choice is $20 to $25,000 in his NOK pockets or, nothing. The trouble with socialists is that they never think things through. I can't believe that they never looked at it close enough to see this blatant loophole, that will just increase gun crime in Canada.

Cold Lake Kid, SASS # 51474
OK, I'm GRUMPY again! (STILL?) OK, Angry too. Friday, I was heating the KitcheAid oven to bake a cake. Had it set for 325, 'cause I was using a dark pan. Oven quits working and throws an error code F6EO "Lost Communication" Great. Long weekend and no oven and I told Big Red I was making a cake for dessert. (The KitchenAid Oven was installed and first used June 2011 when we moved in to the house after it was built.) OK BBQ works, we have a gas cook top, Micro wave, toaster oven, George Forman Grill and crock pots. Today the repair man for KitchenAid shows and after a $330.00 bill, gets the KitchenAid oven working. Kinda. He then tells me heat damages the main control board on the self cleaning oven. It needs to be replaced and the self cleaning feature should never be used!! The new Main Control Board alone costs $410.00 plus installation. (I use the Self Cleaning feature maybe once every couple of YEARS because I roast meats in Look Cooking bags to contain the juices for gravy and to avoid clean-ups, so there is no mess or build up of anything as I grill things in winter on the George Forman Grill.) I had the replaced the Main Control Board on the KitchenAid Oven September 2020 to the tune of $1250.00 after it just went completely DEAD. Now here it is gone again. same problem with the Control Board, In TWO YEARS! The only time I use temperatures above 325 is when I cook fish, when the packaging calls for 400 I'll get this KitchenAid oven fixed Again. For the same problem "Fixed" two years ago, since it's a built-in but I'll start looking for another brand to fit the same cabinet dimensions. Guess what brand I won't be looking at? Now Get Off My Lawn! Edited September 8, 2022 by Cold Lake Kid, SASS # 51474
Blackwater 53393
I ain’t quite as grumpy today! The foot doctor says that my foot is healed up again. Five and a half years since this ordeal began, six surgeries, four rounds of treatment for infection, one near death episode, a two month rehab hospitalization, two rounds of daily home IV, (pic line) treatments, three years of twice a day doses of oral antibiotics, and some two hundred trips to one or another treatment facility. That doesn’t count the weeks and months of daily bandage changes, riding the knee scooter, (even just to go to the bathroom) for weeks and months at a stretch, riding on crutches when I go places that the scooter can’t be taken, and being unable to walk, work, shoot, take a shower, (I’ve been taking sponge baths) or just stand at the stove and cook for months at a time!! Now if I can just get the results back from all those tests the dietitian/diabetic specialist ordered and keep the foot healthy, I JUST MIGHT get back to doing some of the things I’ve been missing for all this time! For now, I’m looking forward to just STANDING in the shower and letting it run ‘til there ain’t any hot water left!! Them self administered sponge baths just ain’t…
