Blackwater 53393
Gotta go out and work on my compressor today!! The drain has quit working and I figure it’s gonna have several gallons of water in the tank. Top that off with the fact that the pressure switch is acting up!! SO!! Hatfield and I are going to fix everything and service the motor and change oil in the pump! Got a brand new switch and a remote drain kit that is supposed to prevent clogging. This AIN’T one of my favorite chores!!
Eyesa Horg
I'm hearing that!! Mine is a really old Keystone! Wish they made rebuild kits for the compressor. It used to run a service station back in the 60s and 70s. Shuts off at 175 and on at 135 and easily keeps up with anything I do. Only issue is it doesn't like the cold and runs slow and clanky and will often trip the breaker! Amazingly heavy apparatus! Eyesa Horg
Which now that you remind me,also likely has gallons of water in the tank, although I don't seem to accumulate any in the water separator.
Blackwater 53393
Turned out to only have about three gallons of water in it! Replaced the drain, replaced a pop-off valve, (it has two) removed a tool oiler from inline, (reservoir cracked and leaking air) cleaned the contacts on the pressure switch and adjusted it, and cycled it a few times to make sure it was working properly. Then, we cleaned the floor of the shed, hauled out a bunch of stuff of no discernible value that had accumulated, knocked down all the cobb and spider webs, and ordered new compressor oil and some LED replacement tubes for the light fixture. My oldest grandson showed up just in time to help with cleaning and fetching stuff!! I mostly sat on a stool and directed traffic and diagnosed the issues as we came to ‘em. NOTE FOR looking EYESA!!: Get someone to install a “hard start” capacitor on your compressor motor and see about a slightly heavier compressor oil. The hard start will give your motor a little more “OOMPH” and you know what better oil will do. I ain’t QUITE as grumpy as I was before we got started this morning… Edited October 1 by Blackwater 53393 1
Eyesa Horg
I think part of the issue with my ole timer is the motor is only 3hp and I'm bettin it should be at least a 5hp. When I got the unit, about 35 years ago it a jury rigged motor on it that failed years later. Going by the numbers on it, Granger said it was a 3hp. So that's what I put on it back then. It was in a heated garage then, now it's on the unheated side of my new garage. For what I use it these days, it'll work! Will check out the hard start cap however. God knows what's in it for oil!

DeaconKC
Spent most of the day working on a seriously nasty 1911 mudpuppy I picked up cheap. What a pitifully abused Tisas, seriously, only a loose 1911 or a Glock would have run that filthy. Will put it back together tomorrow, posted all about it over on the Wild Bunch forums.

Blackwater 53393
Still waiting on this hole in my foot to close up! Much progress in the last couple of weeks but still not quite there. Got my new footwear in today from Oregon, but I can’t try it out because I’m still in massive bandages. Two stem cell grafts, the second one still working, and mostly sitting on my…! I did get my compressor fixed last week and I have started on fitting a new cylinder into one of my ‘60 Colt replicas. That took me much of Saturday afternoon and I got to feel like I had accomplished SOMETHING! Too much needs doing and I’m sitting on my duff! WORSE THAN GRUMPY, DAMMIT!! 1
Cold Lake Kid, SASS # 51474
Had a closer look at the deck the other day and didn't like the way the preservative was wearing in a few places. OK. Still got some Australian Timber Oil left from a few years ago and it's still viable. Weather wasn't too bad; warm enough to apply it and touch up the bad spots. Old clothes on and and a pad to sit on, since I want to save my knees for a match on Saturday. Did about half the deck and ran out. Home Depot says "Special Order" and it'll take a while. Likely be too cold to apply then, dang it! Ottawa weather: First too hot for outside work, then too cold. It's that time of year around here when the furnace is on in the morning and the AC by noon. Cold Lake Kid, SASS # 51474
100 MPH WIND!?!?!?! No Thanks Rev. I'll pass on that, Thanks anyway. On the bright side here, Home Depot called to tell me they had the Timber Oil in and I picked it up. In the rain. Oh well, I'll start processing Palomino Pal's .38 Spl brass for next year's matches. He'll be here to charge the cases tomorrow, while I seat little .358 LRNFPBB pills over Titegroup. Now get off my beautiful, weed free, white clover lawn!!! Blackwater 53393
I have said this on more than one occasion and I’m reasonably certain that some of you have tired of hearing me repeating it! I am seriously grumping about our lack of a good candidate for so many offices!! Here in Tennessee, we have a former mayor who was forced to resign because she had an affair with her security chief and diverted city funds to pay for her excursions! She barely avoided prison!! In the senatorial race, we have a state representative who missed being thrown out of the legislature by one vote when she and two other anti-gun representatives disrupted the legislature with a demonstration that included the use of a bullhorn! Both are Democrats, (go figure!) and both are slinging mud like they’re pure as driven snow!! Their opponents are well established, respected members of the legislature with records of truly representing their constituents! People like these two, who have (at best) dubious credentials, should stop wasting the taxpayers’ money that is used for elections and help their party find reputable, qualified candidates to give us all better choices at the polls!! SO! Once again, GRUMP ALL TO HELL!! These two idiots need to GET OFF THE LAWN!!! Edited October 15 by Blackwater 53393

Yessir! Got it a couple of weeks ago! Tried on the one for the right foot. It’s perfect! Fits well and very comfortable to stand and walk in, what few steps I was allowed to take. The brace and offset for the left foot arrived several weeks ago. I had to use it to make patterns for the shoes/moccasins to be made. Makes me even more GRUMPY that I can’t go ahead and put it all to use!! 1 1

Blackwater 53393
My dad owned an Indian inline four after he mustered out of the USAAC after WWII. Sadly, he sold it when he re-upped during Korea. I only own a couple of Harleys now, but I’ve had several motorcycles from several different manufacturers! Ain’t been able to ride for more than two years, but I’m nearly healed up again and my big bike will be on the lift as soon as I can get a couple of other things done out in the shop!! Until then, I’m frustrated and ill tempered!! SO!! GAFREAKIN’RUMMMMP!! DON’T EVEN THINK ABOUT GETTIN’ ON THE LAWN!! 1
