Blackwater 53393
WELL!! Today’s my day to GRUMP again!! I was scheduled for a final stem cell transplant this morning, but the insurance company dragged their feet and didn’t issue approval until yesterday afternoon, so I got put off for another day or two. I DID get a word with them and they will pay for at least half the cost of the new shoes that I hafta have! None of the refills for my prescriptions were ready today, so I will have to go back out tomorrow to get ‘em!! NOW!! GET THE HELL OFF THE LAWN!!! 1
Eyesa Horg
You just can't make this stuff up! Sure has been a long road Pard. Is the foot staying healed this time at least? Is Schoolmarm back to normal now? Sure hoping so. EH
Blackwater 53393
Schoolmarm has NEVER been normal!! She IS doing very well! She has received some treatment for anemia and has responded well. Kidney function has returned to nearly normal. Her oncology checkup this morning was perfect. The foot has completely healed where the surgery was done and is performing perfectly. The chronic sore on the sole of the foot is just under one centimeter and the stem cell graft is intended to close it . Takes about two weeks for it to take full effect. The new orthotic/brace is in hand and SHOULD prevent foot drop, protect the point on my foot where the remaining bone is prominent, and fully offset the pressure point that causes the sore on the sole of my foot. The new boots are already in the works. I should be able to get them within a week or two of when I get the bandages off the foot. I told one of my shooting buddies that if I can get all of this worked out, I intend to get myself back into some semblance of shape and get back into the shop and back on the range by first of the year! 2

Blackwater 53393
I SHOULD grump today!! They once again postponed my stem cell graft. Insurance company farting around ‘til Tuesday to approve it made it so’s the doctor couldn’t get the graft here in time to do it Friday. We’re shooting for my regular Wednesday appointment next week. BUT!! I wound up spending most of the day successfully completing several errands! I got all my meds for the next three months except for one very expensive one. Then J. Mark came to the house and we set out. I picked up a 5# jug of Clean Shot that Scarlett sent by “cowboy pony express”! Razorback Red was kind enough to get it back to Middle Tennessee so that I could pick it up!! Thanks folks!! Next we took out cross country to pick up some ammo that I had professionally loaded and J. Mark did some trading for components. Both parties seem to have done well. We stopped at Cracker Barrel for a slightly late lunch. I hadn’t been to the Barrel in maybe two years!! The portions are smaller, but their biscuits have improved a bit! Made it back home a little after 4:00 and took a short break, then I set in on assembling the new strong mount stand for my Rock Chucker and installing the new “Big Dawg” ergonomic handle/lever. Finally, I sorted, boxed, and labeled the new ammo! I guess the day wasn’t wasted after all!! NOW! GET OFF THE FLIPPIN’ LAWN!! Blackwater 53393
Got my first motorcycle license fifty-three years ago, but it was in the dead of winter. The examiner stood in the door of the police station and told me to, “Ride it around the block. If you make it back here, you’ll get your license.” So I did. I bought the old Harley in ‘88. Thirty-six years ago next month. Bought it on Columbus Day!

Cold Lake Kid, SASS # 51474
Jagmeet Singh, the leader of the New Democratic Party (NDP) signed a document that promised to support the minority Liberal government of Canada. (It was a coalition of two Left Wing parties, the NDP being the even farther left In exchange, a number of socialist initiatives were introduced.) Dissatisfaction of the way the country is being led, numerous scandals, a carbon tax, rising prices etc. etc. finally woke the voters and polls have indicated just how low the ruling party coalition has sunk. Seeing the writing on the wall, Mr. Singh has torn up the agreement to support the government and on the resumption of Parliament, a vote of nonconfidence MAY trigger a snap election. That is uncertain because the 22 NDP members may still vote with the Liberal government in an effort to keep the session going until October2025, which will ensure a number of member, including Mr. Singh, will qualify for a Golden Pension.
Jabez Cowboy,SASS # 50129
Un-Justin Trudeau has enacted legislation by order in- council while the Parliament is off on vacation... This is illegal, but does he care? seems Not... Seems he does NOT like oversight, not even by his own bunch of crooks (MPs)... Blackwater 53393
I’m grumpy! I probably shouldn’t be, but I’m confined to my chair, the bed, or my scooter for the next week at least.. New graft process started this afternoon!! Just got word that my old schoolmate and the drummer for the band is back in the hospital with an infection again! Seems like it’s still one step ahead and two backward all the time! I got all the materials and casts mailed off to the shoemaker this afternoon. The insurance company said to send him the doctor’s prescription, so she’s forwarding that to him too! This many steps forward has got me looking around for the falling anvil!! ANYWAY!! The local confectioners brought back their great big oatmeal cream cookies and we stopped and got four of ‘em! I hope this umbrella is anvil proof!

Cold Lake Kid, SASS # 51474
Well, I'm not as GRUMPY as I could have been. Took the side plates off my SxS Open Hammer to figure out why my right barrel was misfiring. Unscrewed the firing pin holding nut and carefully pulled out the firing pin and the tiny little rebound spring only to promptly lose it somewhere on the floor when it apparently rolled under one of the freezers I use as a cleaning station. HAHAHA Fooled ya, ya little )(&%&^$R. I have spares!! Off to the range and ran through a dozen or so rounds and all seems OK for the match Saturday. Maybe I can get better than last place this time. Even hammered a few out of the Glock 19 and found out why some cartridges don't want to feed. Cracked a Moosehead while sitting here and all is well at the C.L.Kid Ranch. So stay off the lawn!
