Howdy,

It seems 2022 calendar matches 1955.

I thought repeating years were very rare.

Im told 2022 pattern repeats in 2033.

Dont ya wish you knew in 1955 what you know NOW?

Best

Maybe one day I can reuse my Cindy ones.

Non-leap years repeat every 6 or 11 years except around the non-leap year century years.

1955 I was watching baseball and playing in Little League and also playing and watching cowboys and Indians. Pretty much what I’m doing now!
(Except for the Little League)

In 1955, I turned 9-years-old.  We lived in Oklahoma where Dad was teaching science at a public high school.

That summer, Dad packed the family up in the family car and we headed to California for Dad to interview for a science teachers job in Ventura county.

While crossing the Mojave desert we pulled into a service station to make a pit stop and fill up.

The station attendant was putting gas into our car and Dad said to the fellow, "This Mo-jaw-vee desert sure is hot!"

The attendant chuckled and told Dad, "Sir, it's pronounced Mo-ha-vee.   Out here we pronounce our J's like H's."

Dad was a quick learner.

Later the attendant noticed our Oklahoma license plate and he asked Dad if we were staying or just visiting.

Dad told him about the interview and hoping to be visiting family.

The attendant ask Dad, "When do you plan on heading back to Oklahoma?"

Dad replied, "Oh sometime in either Hune or Huly.

Again, Dad was a quick learner.

i remember 55 well enough - we had a terrible storm back in the hometown , hail broke out all the front windows [south side] and devastated the folks garden , my mom had me and my brother in the hallway to avoid the flying glass , left an impression on my 5 year old mind , really hate hail to this day ,

That was around the time I got my first bring-home from a cop.
My dad made me a gas powered go kart, with the admonishing to stay off the main road.
Apparently I strayed onto the main road, and a cop brought me home.
That doesn't happen any more...

If we are time traveling, my wife and I both volunteer to go back 40 years, but knowing what we know today.
