In my mind's eye I still see my bride coming down the aisle at All Saint's Anglican Church, fifty-four years ago.

I remember the important things about my wedding.  Miss Lorrie's dress gapped a bit in front and she had a pink bow on her bra.  Everything else is rather fuzzy right up till the pastor asked us to kneel and I remembered I was wearing my ROTC shoes with a hole the size of a silver with my socks showing thru in each shoe.

I remember standing at the altar watching my wife coming down the aisle on the arm of her dad and thinking "That isn't Mary". Her veil made her blonde hair look darker and I was sure they had swapped her with her sister.

Used to hold hands all the time.  My parents did that, too.

 

I sure miss the contact and the loving atmosphere.
