Cheyenne Ranger, 48747L Posted June 14, 2022 Share Posted June 14, 2022 Hey KC, great time to come to the Houston area--cool breezes, wonderful temps and mosquitoes the size of dump trucks--I kid Take a look at the two clubs I belong to: Thunder River Renegades: up above Magnolia, just across from the Texas Renaissance Festival. https://thunderriverrenegades.com/# We shoot the 1st and 4th Saturdays of the month, have a practice and long range pistol-caliber and/or .22 long range match on the 2nd Saturday and are all around nice folks. right now we're shooting 5 stages per match and are in summer dresss which basically means: no ball caps my other club it a bit further north in North Zulch: The Willow Hole Cowboys. https://willowholecowboys.com/ again a great group to shoot with. A lot of overlap in membership Willow Hole shoots the 3rd Sat of the Month and have a true long range big bore match the following Sun. They go all the way out to 600 yards (at 600 yards we'd call in artillery but that was in another life) please contact me walterlaich@comcast.net and I can answer your questions. Capt Stephen D Hill, SASS #56151 Posted June 14, 2022 Share Posted June 14, 2022 Two great clubs nearby---Orange County Regulators, 1st and 3rd Sat each month. Then there is the Up the Creek Gang located in Lake Charles, La. They have a completely new range they built after being washed away by the last hurricane. You can't go wrong with either one.
