My understanding is that they are LEGAL for long range, including Buffalo, and precision rifle but not for revolver and main match rifle. Is this correct? Cheyenne Ranger, 48747L Posted June 11, 2022 Share Posted June 11, 2022 SHB, p 26: Ammunition Requirements (Main Match guns) Shooters may be held responsible for damage caused to a target or injury to personnel due to “bounce back/splatter” because of inappropriate and/or illegal ammunition. This major safety violation is grounds for instant disqualification and ejection from the match (MDQ). REVOLVER AND RIFLE AMMUNITION - May not be jacketed, semi-jacketed, hollow point, plated, or gas checked SHB, p 30: Basic Rules for the Long Range Competitions - (go down aways) Regardless of category or caliber, bullets used in long range and precision rifle matches must be made of pure lead or lead alloy having a plain base, gas checked, or paper patched configuration.
