Okiepan
In 1991 In Ft Smith , Ark. I had the privilege of meeting the Original Darbys Rangers who were there for there convention ( General Darbys Boy hood home is there) I got to speak to these heroes of the greatest generation and they told me the stories of Normandy and how they scaled point Du Hoc and then once on top proceeded to engage the enemy in hand to hand combat , at the time of this they were 18-22 yrs of age , and when they spoke to me they were in they late 60s and 70s . This was truly a memory I always cherish.
