Trigger Mike
I like remington , particularly the 1858. I had a few hundred rounds of black powder 45lc. I've wanted to try a short barrelled 58 remington for years. Taylor Firearms sent an email about The Ace. I ordered it with the conversion cylinder. I took it out today after applying bore butter. I fired 100 rounds. No jams. An accurate pistol. The first 50 rounds were Goex black powder 265 grain. The rest were 160 grain from Great Basin. I liked it. By the 100th round it was getting hard to put the cylinder back in after reloading. Not unexpected. It cleaned up supper easy. Rested it upside down in hot soapy water after taking it apart. Cleaned it. Set it the oven at 200 degrees for a few minutes to dry up moisture and bore butter again. 20220604_173245.mp4
Slapshot
Nice been wanting one myself. Thinking I'll just shorten my 8" down to about 4, 4.5" and call it good.
