Large Caliber 9MM

Recommended Posts

To all who keep saying that Brandon "meant" to say "capacity" rather than what he actually said "caliber", I believe that you are attributing a level of intelligence to him that is unsupported by anything he has said in the last 47 years.

I glanced at an op-ed this  morning that stated the only way we were going to lower gun related deaths is to perform a wholesale confiscation/destruction like they did in Europe.........

And 35million deaths later WWII was over. 10 years ago I would have said could never happen here. Today, not so sure anymore.

Y'all missed the point! The caliber wars are now officially over!!:)

The 9mm is more powerful than the 45acp, there that settles it!!

Guess he was right all along!?

Well, Joe is at it again.

Apparently, .22s are OK, and don't hurt you badly; but those "large caliber 9 mm" will blow your lungs out of your body, and must be banned - along with any pistols that hold "10 or more rounds" (that's about 75% of all semi-auto pistols, ain't it?)

And, again, he has repeated the historical inaccuracy about the inability of private citizens to own cannon during the Revolution...when very clearly many cannon of that period were privately owned.

It's bad enough that we are constantly debating the same issues with the same uninformed political hacks; but when they are willfully ignorant of history and gun technology, it's like playing cards with my brother's kids.......

I consider the source of the information "large caliber 9 mm" to be from an elderly grandfather with dementia who lives with the knowledge he failed raising his children to be productive and contributing members of society.  And for himself personally knowing the only positive contribution in all years "serving" the public he has made are only in his fantasies.

I feel sorry for him...he is being made a fool of and he doesn't comprehend it.

I don't feel sorry for him one bit, he's been a scumbag all his life. He's a liar and a lifelong con artist that's never done a damn thing in his 50 years on the public dole!

At least Midsouth has a sense of humor about it

this has to be driving 9mm sales up , I think Brandon is going to take the title from Barry for the #1 gun salesman of all time

We had a couple from Alabama spend the last three days with us.  They are good, longtime friends of yours that we cherish.  Our friends are left wingers, the wife the most left.  During, our long civil discussion on gun control, she said she’d be happy if banning AR’s, limited magazines, background checks, and red flag laws were passed.  I asked her, if those get passed then what further  gun controls would you want.  She said none. “We aren’t looking to take away your guns.”.  We talked about our fears on the right that the left will never be satisfied. She tried to alleviate my fears. The next day, President Biden made his boneheaded statement on 9mm pistols. ….  Oops.

Assuming the leftists do get their semi-auto and magazine bans, what will happen when the next nutjob walks into a school with a pump-action shotgun or lever-action rifle and kills a bunch of kids?

The UK banned semi-autos and handguns, then afterwards they still managed to have two more mass shootings... committed with double-barreled shotguns and a bolt-action .22 rifle. You probably didn't hear about them because the news media didn't have anything to go after.

The Pulse Nighclub shooting... 49 dead. Killed by a gay muslim. Media stopped talking about it.

Santa Fe HS shooting in Texas... 10 dead. Killed by a shooter using a pump shotgun. Media lost interest that week.

Yup.

No, he isn't "getting his gun facts wrong.". He is intentionally telling lies to the American people.   The anti-civil rights Democrats have been doing it for decades, and then building policy and laws around those lies.

I think everyone is missing the point, the best way to get people and the MEDIA to stop talking about the fact that gas prices are killing the economy and the country is going to hell while the oil companies and politicians get rich is to throw in a few dozen murders and viola no one is worried about anything except them nasty ole black guns, add in a senile old num nuts on the podium mumbling gibberish and Washington can just sit back and relax while the news media tells the American sheeple just what to think and believe...... and God help us for the most part they will

Yup.

Don't forget the Sutherland Springs TX shooting.

26 people dead in a church.  The shooter (a domestic abuser kicked out of the Air Force for beating on his wife- who was one of the victims along with her family) was engaged when he exited the church by an NRA certified instructor with an AR15.  He bought the guns in a shop legally- since the Air Force neglected to report his crimes while in the service to the Feds so it would flag him in NCIC.  He applied for, but was denied, a TX CCW permit because his discharge wasn't an honorable one.

Once the details started coming to the surface- like the NRA affiliation of the man that engaged him and that he used an AR15, the main stream media dropped it like it was scalding hot and has avoided it ever since.

Like my mother who’s right leg had minimal feeling so she used her left leg when driving.  Sitting on two pillows to enable her to barely see over the dash.  Eye sight problems and Parkinson’s mixed in.  In her mind she was perfectly capable of driving.  I compromised with her.  She could keep her driver’s license but her car was sold.

Biden maybe the POTUS but I believe he too like mother has compromised and is not in control of what he thinks he is.

You may be right, but I would bet if he weren’t who he is and in the party he is, the press would be screaming for him to step down. He has no business in office as President. He should step down.

With all respect to your mother. I do feel for folks when age gets in their way.

What the Leftists have done to that old man oughta be considered elder abuse.

He can't be reading this off a teleprompter.  He keeps repeating "You couldn't own a canon" when the so called fact checker PolitiFact repeatedly gives the statement 4 pinocchios.  I can't imagine the controller of his teleprompter repeatedly entering the statement into it.

I have a real cannon that shoots.  Really, I do!  Bought it off the internet and was delivered to my house via USPS.  No background check or FFL.

The optimist in me thinks you're right, that this is his own personal gaffe.

The realist though has zero doubt that his handlers would put this on the teleprompter for him to repeat ad nauseum.

As a kid in the 50's & 60's I could buy a carbide cannon.  While it didn't qualify as a firearm per the ATF because it was a muzzle stuffer it used the gases generate by an explosion to expel a projectile out of the barrel.  I was in 8th grade when I had the cash to buy it at a hobby store around the corner from my best friend's house.  By the way he & I were pyro's.  We started when you could make flammable & explosive compounds with chemistry sets.  When you couldn't we'd ride our ten speeds to a laboratory supply house in Berzerckly.   Our pyro activities ended when the contents of a closed pill bottle spontaneously combusted ruining his shirt & leaving 2nd degree burns on his chest.  His mother rounded up his chemicals & dumped them in the garbage.  She had my friend's older brother who was a premed UCB student.  He made sure the disposal didn't create a fire hazard.  I still had my stash of chemicals.   The mistake my friend made was the sealed container contained something we called spit powder.  It was stable as long as it didn't get damp.  The East Bay is not the NV desert so the dew point is only a few degrees above ambient and when the ambient drops below when the container is closed water droplets collect on the inside of the container.  When a droplet his the spit powder it creates a violent exothermic reaction.

He should confiscate the 358,000+ real assault rifles and the 125,000+ lung blowing pistols that he gave to some of the worst terrorists in the World first. I guess  Afghan women and children's safety aren't high on his handlers Socialist agenda.

Don't even get me started on the "cannons" that he gave to the same terrorists.

His repeated untruths don't help in tamping down the public's view of him being incompetent.  Which doesn't help with implementation of the Dem's agenda.  Nor does it help to minimizing the November carnage they face.  If it is the teleprompter operators fault I would expect the same people that follow every public statement he makes & immediately make publicly  clarify (walk back) his statement that has negative foreign policy and or national security implications, would fire the operator.

Notice though that the MSM never calls him out (or if they do, they call him out quietly) for this clear falsehood.   My suspicion is that 90% of the people who hear this remark from him (and don't already know it's false) do not do the research - they just believe it's true.    And you know the playbook - repeat the lie often enough, and it becomes the truth.

Every one of these Leftist windowlickers has studied at the feet of Herr Goebbels.

If you tell a lie long enough and hard enough, the weak minded will start thinking it's true.

I don't put nothing past them.  Not a single, solitary thing.

Like good Nazis. Goebbels was right.

Also makes me wonder if the “bread and circus” of today is the dividing of this great nation every time there’s a crisis to exploit to further their goals.

ive always thought the attacks on the 2nd were in response to the antiabortion efforts , ive never understood the reasons for the extent of the abortion efforts , it would seem that all the reasonable reasons were more than adequately covered without the need for the extreems but then im in favor of reversing the gun laws to release the full autos too ,
