Forty Rod SASS 3935
Yeah, but if it's your dust it adds to the atmosphere....kind of like my half acre of award winning weeds.
Subdeacon Joe
Yep. A nice nip to the air, maybe some frost on the ground at sunrise. Just need the coffee pot on top of that stove and pull some coals down onto that hearth for your dutch oven.
Muleshoe Bill SASS #67022
Ahhh yes "fall" in central Texas... The morning temp is only 80 or so with the promise of highs under 99. Heck yeah I love that after five months of 95 - 110 degrees days.
Pat Riot
I miss Fall…but not this Fall Here in the southern and coastal part of The People’s Utopia of Enlightenment we don’t so much as have seasons as we have some temperature variations with a different length of daylight. But, I must say “climate change” or as I like to call it “Terra Forming for our Alien Overlords” (this gets me some weird looks) has made winter months here a little more like the Pacific Northwest on occasion. I am truly looking forward to Fall in Pennsylvania.
Smuteye John SASS#24774
You're braver then I am- unless it's empty and just an ornament. That powder flask is way closer to an open flame that my preference. I was at EOT '02 when the guy- he was with Lindholm Brothers Spurs, if I remember right- blew one of them up and almost lost a thumb because he was smoking while refilling it. It taught me a whole new level of respect (and caution) for black powder.

bgavin
Here in Sacramento, the Hinges of Hell™ are warming up, but not glowing red quite yet. We have barely topped 100F / 38C a day or two so far... But... Hell's a-comin' We have had a truly delightful spring. Sadly, there only remains about 3 more weeks before Winter is coming after the Summer solstice. We enjoy both Spring and Fall here.. for me, more Spring due to the lengthening days. Fall has less allergies, but not by much.

The circular spring eventually broke.

Nothing like what you would get I think. Lowest I can remember was around 2°C some mornings with a top of around 11°C, most Winter days average around 8°C to a top of around 15°C. I have a mate in Minnesota he's done videos for me of throwing boiling water in the air and it comes down frozen
Buckshot Bear
This fan we bought last Winter off eBay is interesting. It just runs off the heat of the stove (don't know how, but it works) and pushes warm air through the house.

Interesting decorating choice. (Don't even get me started on smoking while pouring Black Powder. Yowza!)
