Wade Butcher
Two more guns for sale. Both in beautiful / unfired condition. Abilene, SASS # 27489
Hi Wade. Nice guns. A couple of things about the conversion. First off, I guarantee that it is nickled, not stainless. Also, if you measure the barrel you will find that it is 4 3/4". Having said that, I will take it! Sending a PM.
Goody, SASS #26190
That's a beautiful pistol, Abilene. You lucked into that one! I am drooling over the Schofield, especially those faux Ivories.

Ezra Hawthorne
At last year's Utah annual event, there was a guy named Chesterfield who had two of those stainless open top revolvers with ivory handles. He didn't shoot but came by to watch some of the matches, I spoke with him and he said he had paid $500 for the pair 20 years ago, I was infinitely envious. The only stainless "open top" guns Uberti made were various cap and ball guns, a good while back. They are fairly rare. SASS shooter Fingers McGee collects them. Those could have been what you saw. If they were cartridge guns, they were either nickled or polished "in the white" steel.
Wade Butcher
UPDATE: The Schofield is still available. New pics added. (I tried to show the iridescent beauty of the charcoal bluing, but it's really hard to capture in a home photo.) W.B.
Abilene, SASS # 27489
I'm surprised nobody has jumped on that beautiful Schofield yet. I love charcoal blue, it would always be my 1st choice. Yeah it wears a little quicker but still looks great.
Wade Butcher
I'm surprised too. However, it is hard to capture the true beauty of charcoal blue in a quick home photo, so I kinda don't blame them. Back to top one more time! W.B.
