Her parents are Bolivian. Native Spanish speakers. The J in Spanish is pronounced like an H. So her real name is Hoe? Nope nope nope. I got it wrong. Her father is Bolivian, but her mother is American. Mama's name is Josephine, so I guess they named her after her mama and her daddy's mama (Raquel). Looks like her first name actually is Joe. Particularly Ann Margaret. She is in a whole other league than Tina Louise. But Raquel’s accent and body language doesn’t quite fit the character of Mary Ann like Dawn Wells.
