At about 1:01, it says he arrived on the scene in the late 1900s. Then it goes on to talk about him doing stuff in 1909. The way they taught me English, 1909 would be in the early 1900s. The late 1900s would be maybe 1985 through 1999.

it’s the only decade that gets ambiguous. The late 1910s and such are more clear.
