The rumor is that the Taiwan owners want to get their production out of Taiwan ASAP because of the possible communist invasion. We were told today that their chiller plant will be roughly 174 (if I was counting correctly) 2500-3000 ton chillers. In the past I thought 30 chillers for one facility was a lot. This boggles my mind. For those that don't know, a chiller makes cold (chilled) water or brine that is used for comfort cooling or process cooling. A three to five ton air-conditioning unit is average for a common home. So that would be the capacity to cool 600-1000 homes per chiller as a size comparison.
