Both times, the confrontation occurred in a bank parking lot as I was delivering a cash deposit from my employer. In neither case was it necessary to discharge my weapon and one of those incidents, the criminal was arrested on the spot. My son likely prevented another crime when he showed that he was armed in a convenience store parking lot, late at night when approached by two individuals with what appeared to be sticks or pieces of pipe. Both turned and fled when he pulled back his coat as he closed the door of his truck. Most incidents of self defense are not reported, frequently because in so many instances the law abiding gun owners are put through the mill for having the nerve to actually confront their attacker!!
