Dusty Morningwood
SOLD This is a very good example of the Swedish M67/89 military rolling block rifle in 8x58R Danish Krag. It was originally manufactured by Husqvarna in 1873 as the M67 in 12.17x42R (rimfire). In 1894, it was sent to Carl Gustaf Stads to be converted to the new centerfire smokeless round. Not long after, these were replaced with the classic M96 Swedish Mauser. The rifle is in overall Very Good condition, with well over 95% bluing on its 33" barrel. Some edge wear and minor freckling. The bore is Very Good. Bright and shiney. The stocks are also in Very Good condition, with no cracks, gouges or major scratches. It retains its original unit marked brass disc. At one time, someone had added a rear sling swivel, now removed, indicating it had spent some time in civilian hands as a hunting rifle. The action is tight and crisp and retains a generous amount of its original case coloring. Brass easily fireformed from inexpensive, readily available 8x56R cases and can then be neck sized and loaded, using several inexpensive die bodies. The 8x58R round packs plenty of punch for most North American big game and is really fun to shoot. $600 SHIPPED.

When you fireform the cases from 8x56, they set their own headspace to the individual rifle. No factory ammo available.
