If you are talking about a single mom, she is still a Mother. If you are talking about a divorcee with children, she is still a Mother. If you are talking about a divorcee with no children, she is an ex-Wife. If you are taking about a widow with children, she is still a Mother. If you are talking about a widow with no children, she is a Wife. Lastly, if you are talking about any other single lady of any age, they are neither a Mother nor a Wife. Nuns are an exception.
