Anybody Wet Tumble Their Brass with Ceramic Media?

Recommended Posts

I still do.

Been doing it for many many years.

I prefer it over steel pins.

I'd like to buy a bit more, as my supply has dwindled over the years.

Who do you folks get it from?

Thanks

Which kind do you like? The balls or the pyramids? I’ve got some of both I could send you.

I have always got mine from Dave Maurer.(hope that is spelled right). Have no idea how to contact him. Original Lumpy Grits might know.

But I haven't bought any in years. What I have now will surely be a lifetime supply for me.

I stopped using any media in my wet tumbler, I just use Brass Juice and a little lemashine in the water and I am good to go and don't have to separate the media from the brass.

Hey YL:
The ceramic media I bought years ago is cylindrical.

So, whatever you think works best.

Thanks

This is what I use.

Have used this since 2010, and could not be more pleased.

I used to use the cylindrical ceramic media, but it kept getting stuck in my .44-40 brass (due to the bottleneck).  I spent a lot of time picking it out with hemostats.  Ceramic  was fine for straight-walled cases, though.  I switched to the stainless pins, which are a little shorter and don't get stuck in the .44-40.
