Crimp in Brass

What are the dangers of shooting a cartridge with a crimp in it: squibs, split cartridges, worse?

I have noticed that a few of the brass that I received from Georgia Arms have crimps. Not sure if any passed by my quality control before I saw the first one.

I find one in my brass from time to time and do not get to alarmed as long as they fit in chamber gage.  Sometimes I choose to consider them for pistol over rifle for no particular reason.

Not a crimp but a dent.

If it chambered I would shoot it in a revolver not in a rifle lest it hang up.

Sounds like a pettifogger term to me....considering the source! :D

Fixed your question according to the pictured defect.  In answer:  No, no, no.   If these were loaded to SAAMI specs... I'd be leery of using them... but for cowboy loads... not worries.
