Eventually everybody will have it but nobody will notice.

Some of these people and organizations will continue to come up with new variants for as long as they can to influence and control those willing to allow it.

You people actually think this is all fake huh? That’s hilarious.

Like as not, it will probably hang around from now on, like the flu.

It will morph from variant to variant, with mixed results.

Yep, it is serious, not "fake", and should be taken seriously...however, if we quarantine, and shut everything down, like we did in 2020, there may be aspects of things that may never recover.

Once something is somehow introduced, whether it be on purpose, or accidental, we have to deal with it. There could be more things like this in the future, since there are things out there that we have not encountered before, both "nature made", and "man manipulated".

Parts of China are again shut down, so the effects of that will be noticed soon...with more shortages of various items.

We have the example of Florida, and California, to learn from. Florida opened pretty quickly and had less problems. California shut down, is still sort of shut down in a lot of aspects, according to some folks I know that "live" there, and they have not fared as well. Two different philosophies, two different outcomes.

Obviously, the American people will not want to relive the 2020 mandates, and to be led down the same path, this time. The powers-that-be, in many instances, do not realize this, and will not accept this.

Is this shaping up to a future battle of the wills, with those in government butting heads with the people? We have already seen that, and are seeing that now, on issues that are not covid related (Afghanistan, Texas border, killing oil and gas, inflation, high gas prices, BLM, woke, gender id), so yes, this is a battle of wills, and a major battle of philosophies, covid being one part of all this.

I'm not saying that it's fake, but I think that it's being overblown, especially this far out. Every time they announce a new variant, it's less serious but more contagious.

With the current variant, most don't even realize they have it, because it's so asymptomatic. They only find out that they have it if they're tested. I also think that so many of us have had it that natural immunity has kicked in. You hear FAR more "vaxxed" people getting it than people getting it twice. I had it in January of 2020 BEFORE they gave it a fancy name and a press agent. When my wife tested positive in February 2021, (she felt "off" for a few days and got over it), sleeping in the same bed, I STILL didn't get it again.

So no, it's not fake, but I simply don't take it as serious as "THEY" would have us take it.

It’s not fake. It’s just hyped. Hyped to maintain control, keep emergency powers enacted that allows certain things to be permitted without controls or oversight.

I’m not paranoid. I am also not stupid or naive.

A crystal ball is not required to see which way the wind will blow this coming November.
Those who are facing stiff headwinds can (and will) fabricate every possible F.U.D. tactic to change the wind direction.

The latest variant infection is not any more serious than other corona viruses (common cold).  SARS COVID 2 is now endemic.  Those who have become drunk on the power COVID pandemic gave them are trying hard to retain the power.  They keep spewing "Panic Porn" to retain their power.  However, it appears that big media & tech oligarch's aren't suppressing information on the current state of the disease.  Even the authoritarian governor of Commifornia backed down with a state mask mandate for school children.

Hyped or not, my wife are I are making appointments to get the 2nd booster. We have had Moderna 1 & 2 and the booster. We are both older (80 & 79) and can't be too careful. Better safe than sorry!

Nope, not fake at all.

Do I think that folks will use it to their advantage to take in them what is unaware or of a trustful nature?

You betcha!

Do I think that some would exaggerate and misrepresent the severity in order to put themselves into an advantageous position to manipulate things behind the scenes?

They'd do it in a New York second.

Apparently, there's more history buffs out there than I would have thought.  This whole Covid thing has been about 'keepin' up the scare' whether it's warranted or not.

If you Search "Current Local Covid Statistics", the C19 stats are available for your specific area on a week-by-week basis.  For my area at Fresno Ca.,  We had 543 new C19 cases last week, 2 deaths, and 41 ICU-level (i.e., resporator) hospitalizations.   That's about the same as last July levels, before Biden apparently convinced everybody that he successfully eliminated the threat.  LOL.

I've been getting a flu shot every year for years. Now it looks like we'll be getting a Covid shot every year too. Not a big deal.

Up until 2 years ago I have never had a flu shot. Never had the flu either. My Doctor convinced me to get a flu shot in 2019 and I was sicker that hell for a week. Never again. Get my Covid shots, but not a flu shot!

Daddy's been tracking it- daily- for over 2 years.  Last week's local total hospitalizations were in the single digits.

I don’t think that it’s fake! My grandsons lost their other grandmother during the height of the first scare/outbreak and it was blamed on C19. The symptoms were pneumonia and she was one who didn’t take care of herself and her health was otherwise compromised, so it could have been any variation of the flu, the result of a bad cold not taken care of, Covid you pick a number, or just her time to go.

I never quarantined, went where and when I wanted to, only ever wore a mask when forced to, played in the clubs, and did NOTHING special to prevent catching the virus. I took the jabs because I couldn’t get into venues to perform without proof of recent negative tests or presentation of the shot card.

Where I live in a county of around 50,000, fewer than 1,000 contracted the plague and fewer than 75 succumbed to it.

I’m convinced that certain elements intentionally exaggerated the threat, drug their feet in reporting the threat, failed to institute procedures to produce vaccines in a timely manner, (they knew this was out there long before it was released) and still haven’t penalized those responsible for its introduction into environment, not necessarily in that order. Some of these elements did so for their own personal profit.

I know for a fact that the statistics were and are being inflated. I was hospitalized three different times during this episode and I asked a lot of questions and was able to observe much during my time in the middle of the “crisis”.

Both doctors and others involved in the system told me that the situation was nowhere near as dire as the media and those in government portrayed it to be.

So if I seem to be skeptical of the narrative and dismissive of a lot of what others take seriously, it is just me and the way I’ve done things and learned things all my life. By the same token, I don’t judge anyone else for the way that they decide to deal with it.

I don't think it is fake, but I do think my state is not worried about it as this week they have been having so few cases to report as in zero in the last two weeks in several counties, that they switched to weekly reporting from daily.

Not surprising.  It's been varying widely area by area and week by week.   And with home testing, a lot of positive tests probably go unreported.   But at least people can assess their local risk level.

I just wish there was some sign of increasing intellect amongst the elected people making our governmental and policy decisions.  But with the unscrupulous media daily indoctrinating so many people, to deliberately influence our elections at all levels, I fear it will be many years before we again see decisions that make logical sense.

Covid has been an example of media influenced decisions, and the confusion created ended up killing a lot of people.

Most of the "elected" officials are plenty smart. How else could they have multimillion dollar mansions on Congresscritter pay? The unscrupulous media IS them. Many media types and politicians are married and travel in the same circles. They are the same people. Decisions made by them will NOT make logical sense unless THEY can profit from them.

Cases in Georgia continue to drop.  On CNBC this morning they were complaining how china locks down entire cities if there is 1 china virus case.  Lock down in China means your building is boarded up and you can't leave.  They were complaining it is causing shortages over here and inflation and China may have a revolution if Xi doesn't open the country back up.  In other words, forget the virus.
