Are you referring to the Sacajawea dollars?

Or old dollars actually containing gold?

Sacs and Presidential dollars can usually be found at banks.

Real gold dollars? Provident Metals, JM Bullion, etc... Currently a gold double eagle (pre 1933 for historical interest) will be quite pricey. But awesome to have in your hand. Lots of coinage dollar amounts available too. $10, $5, $2.50, and I believe $1.  As the face value decreases the size of the coin diminishes In relationship to the lower amount of precious metal used. This should be figured by weight.

And Sacajawea are given out at in change at your more rural post office locations and stamp vending machines in the larger P.O. offices.

That’s where I usually get ‘em :)

Years ago at work we had a change machine for the vending machines and they paid out in gold dollars. I emptied the change machine one night just to have bags of gold dollars because I think they're neat. :D

Howdy,

Gold one dollar coins from what 1860???

Got all the junk coin I needs.

Could be interested in Eagle half eagle etc......

I missed a show due to med problems that plague my recent life....

I got a few extra bucks from tax.

Gold seems better than just wasting it on

food.

looks like $1 gold pieces are running about $550, double eagles ($20) are at $2300 and up. Good luck!

Yup.

i was recently lamenting how I should have bought several double eagles when they were $1200 each. Yikes!

Yeah, I thought it was high when it was 1100!

Notice how the price of a Double Eagle and the price of a finely tuned and short stroked CAS '73 rifle have been tracking pretty closely? Lol
