Ethan Cord
Charlie, The serial number appears to be almost non-existent in your photos. Is this the case or did you blur it out in the photo? Thanks, Ethan
Dead Eye Jake
I have my dad's Remington Rand WWII issue 1911. Its in excellent condition. He was able to send it home somehow, in fact he sent two home and sold one later. Wish I had his M1 too.

I purchased a Remington Rand as opposed to the rarer Colt or Union Switch because that’s what dad had in Korea. He was w the 335 fighter squadron as a company clerk. He hated lugging the Garand around so he found a reg that said they were allotted 2 enlisted 45’s. So the first sergeant and E4 McQueen. Had a Korean make a cool holster too but cheap leather and it rotted. He did use a Garand to hunt pheasants when the war cooled a little.
