Pat Riot
He is a moron. It’s people in power of his ilk that are the reason for CA gas prices. Perhaps it’s time to rein in “Big Government” and “Big Media”…maybe reins with 13 wraps, if you get my drift. Had to come back to add; perhaps it’s also time to rein in lead water supply pipes so maybe in a generation people in the larger cities of CA won’t be so flippin’ retarded. Hardpan Curmudgeon SASS #8967
He's obviously weaseling up to his "boss," the Emperor. Note, he does not report nor answer to his constituents - that's not how it works in this state or in his party. Quote Message from the Emperor's "State of the State address:" He once again emphasized the need to reduce the supply of California’s oil, alongside demand, but stopped short of announcing any new policies to accelerate the phase out timeline. In 2021, Governor Newsom took many noteworthy steps to move California beyond oil including announcing a 2045 phaseout goal, a ban on new fracking, and a draft rule to prevent new neighborhood drilling. He’s also been vocal about the need to make fossil fuels “part of our past.” His 2022-23 proposed budget commits to a vision of an “oil-free future” but falls short on investments in supply-side policies to phase out oil extraction. Waxahachie Kid #17017 L
Must fight idiots like this with the vote, and also we need more common sense, educated conservatives to run for office, or otherwise be very much involved in local, and statewide politics, and change this leftist mind-set, in politics, from the roots up, and replace them. The home of the greatest conservative President, of the 20th Century, needs to correct this. Maybe the increase in gasoline prices, which has the domino effect of increasing all prices, will help change people's minds. I mean, how high does the price of a gallon of gasoline, groceries, and everything else, have to go, before people figure out you can't keep voting for the same people/party, and expect any positive change???? What is it going to take????

What is it going to take???? Unfortunately there are SO many of them that don't pay enough, (or any), attention to the WHY of things. As long as a candidate has a "D" beside his name, the sheeple will vote for him. I've had this discussion with people here in Tucson. With people who in general have relatively Conservative leanings. The problem with these people is that they are life long, multi-generational Democrats. They will agree that Taxes are too high, Government is too big, they are gun owners, BUT: they're Democrats. They've always voted Democrat. Their parents are Democrats, their GRANDPARENTS are Democrats. That's the way they've always voted and that's not going to change. Waxahachie Kid #17017 L
People need to make a copy of the democratic platform, which is the official stance and goals, of the democrats. Or, someone needs to copy that down, and show some folks, point by point, what their agenda, and goals are. After each point one can ask them...is this what you believe to be true? Do you agree with this? If they are honest, with you, and with themselves, they will discover what a lot of us have already discovered...that being: I did not leave the democratic party, the democratic party left me! My Dad was a "yellow-dog-democrat", which around here means: if the Lord were running as a Republican, and the devil was running as a democrat, he would vote for the devil. Then, in the 1970's, he was so disgusted, that he never voted for a democrat again, and started voting for the conservative, which mostly meant he voted for the Republican, or an independent. No matter what the odds, common sense conservatives have got to fight this, by any legal means necessary, and never give up. Never! No excuses. Vote, and heck, run for office yourself. A journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step. If you eat, you are involved in: 1. agriculture, and 2. politics.

Slapshot
Problem with the Republicans is all the turn coats, ie...RINO's. There should be re-call laws in every state that allow the people to remove politicians that do not represent their constituent's. This is the only way after several have been removed will they even begin to think about representing the people once again. They should be audited every year also. Follow the money and you will learn the truth to each party and its politicians.

Dick the Butcher is talking with his fellow thugs who want to overthrow the government and set themselves up as the rulers of England. Basically he is saying "Let's kill the lawyers so we can rob, rape, and murder with impunity." While not directly about lawyers, this bit about laws is good: That's why I get so irked when I hear someone say something like, "The criminals have more rights than their victims!". No, we all have the same rights, rights to (supposedly) protect us from the Devil of the overwhelming power of the State. I WANT every possible impediment to that terrible power. I want, demand, that the State play by the exact letter of the law when using it's power. Because, unlikely as it may be, some day I might be the one needing protection from the State.
