No guns. Just this antique corkscrew my wife gave me for Christmas years ago. I came across it in the back of a drawer in the bar. Got it prominently on display now. I think it’s a walrus tusk but I’m not sure.

Very cool.  WAY cool, even.

Fortunately, you're in Colorado, where you can enjoy it.  :)   (It would be quite illegal in california)  :(

By golly, so good to know that our darlin', educated, intelligent, hard-working legislators are bound and determined to protect them poor, defensless mastodons.  <_<

That said, those grips are gorgeous!!

Is the thorn on the right the foil cutter?

I assume so. It didn't come with instructions. ;)

On the cap end there was a piece attached at some point. I assume it was a brush like I've seen on some vintage screws.

Apparently they made mastodon ivory illegal in some states to thwart the criminals selling modern Ivory as fossilized. I don't know that if has actually been done but you know those forward thinking lawmakers! ;)

I think I may have a copy of the sales receipt somewhere. It was painted on a cave wall.

'Tain't golden.  It's tarnished, flaking brass plate.  -_-

And Emperor Newsom and his minions have decided that we cannot possess anything ivory... even if the critter died twenty thousand years ago.  :(

Howdy Hardpan.

I haven't had a single Mastodon walk thru my back yard since I started shooting a .460 Rowland 1911.

The only ones doing any cork "screwing" in CA, are the legislators. And so, those devices are regulated......Can't trust the general populace with anything.;)
