irish ike, SASS #43615
Shooter in the club has a shotgun with a bad split and chip out of his rear stock. Not repairable. He wants to buy a replacement stock made from synthetics. Cheaper than a new wood. All he shoots is monthlies at the local clubs. I know rules are rules. What say the wire? Rip Snorter
Not a fan of plastic, personally, I'd look for a used replacement. Failing that, there are all sorts of paints available for plastic stocks, it could easily be made to look just like wood. Check Brownells for paint. PaleWolf Brunelle, #2495L
Quote Grips or stocks of simulated or natural materials are acceptable provided they are not customized to constitute a “target” grip or stock. That is, they must be of the same basic shape as grips or stocks found on original firearms. SHB p.
