Slip hammering questions and technique

Is slip hammering strictly a two handed technique or do duelists and gunfighters perform slip hammering as well?  If you do duelist slip hammering, is there a certain way you hold the gun to manage the mechanics better?

Elmer Keith experimented with some success, but felt it was not possible to shoot that way along with the more traditional style he used with great success.

My suggestion is don't slip hammer. The top shooters I know don't slip hammer.

I shoot primarily traditional and I have slip hammered basically the entire time I've shot the sport. I will say that it took some time to get past some misses but I feel faster than when I started. How much of that being slip hammering vs just general improvement is hard to say. Either way practice is key. If you don't practice it you won't get better with it.

I have a hard time doing it as a duelist my hands are just too small.

I know a lot of two handed shooters that do it though.

I can see how a two handed shooter could do this with practice. As far as one handed shooters, sounds like a good way for problems.
