SOLD A Very Minty Italian Sharps .45-70

Recommended Posts

SOLD Tristar (Pedretti mfg) Sharps 1874 Sporting Rifle chambered in the venerable .45-70 Government. It has a 28" octagon barrel. Excellent condition - near 99% overall. Shows very minimal signs of light use. Probably a Safe Queen or display model. Nicely figured European Walnut stock has a couple tiny nicks. Fantastic sharp checkering. Pictures tell the tale. Bore looks immaculate and I do not believe this rifle has been fired. NOW $1150 SHIPPED! to your FFL only.

NOTE: No flies on these rifles. I had one some years back that using same rear sight and a hooded front bead would shoot 1.5-2" groups all day at 100 yards from the bench. Did well out to 300 yards (all I had access to) ringing a 12" gong using a Lee Shaver vernier tang sight.

Do you know who the actual manufacturer is?

 Thanks

They were made by Pedretti, also know as IAB. The were also available under the Hartford name through EMF.

A company called Sile imported them also. I had one 45 years ago.

Good shooter, the 58 hammer is different. Also, it has a safety that is engaged when levered.

You can see the safety in photo. Between Hammer and firing pin.

Other than that, it was a good Shooter.

Very strong Rifle.
